Morgan-Brinkhurst Consultancy were thrilled to support Sporting Family Change with their first anniversary event. Loraine is an ambassador for Sporting Family Change and a member of the Entrepreneurs panel.
The panel is made up of local businessmen and women who receive presentations from local young people who bid for money for an event, they have to pledge ro raise at least double the money they are given which then goes back into the pot to help more Sporting Family Change young people and families.
The masked ball was held in the beautiful Banqueting Room at the Guildhall, Bath to celebrate the 1st anniversary of SFC and to raise some additional funds to help local people. Congratulations to Hayley and the team for organising such a wonderful masked ball.
Jimmy Deane (Founder of SFC) said "Sporting Family Change has a whole based approach to mentoring which is unique. SFC works with a young person within their family unit and works with them on their strengths, helps them build on these successes and support them in areas of their lives where they may find life more challenging."
SFC are delighted to be working with the Young Carers Development Trust; this fantastic charity works with families who have very talented individuals, and in turn supports their individual development over a number of years.
SFC will work in schools and community settings to support these individuals and mentor them to reach their potential, often supporting the whole family to achieve success, however big or small, but which can have a major impact on a young persons life.
All funds raised from the evening went towards the charity's Short Breaks programme.
"It's overwhelming to reflect on the enormous support we have had over this past year," says the charity's founder Jimmy Deane who, following his personal experiences, set up Sporting Family Change in Bath when he recognised that there were many families with their own challenges. "The charity uses sport to empower, inspire and motivate local families into making positive, lifelong change, creating opportunity for all."
