Morgan-Brinkhurst Consultancy organise launch of the Chairman of Bath & North East Somerset Council's Harmony in Your Community fundraising music events in aid of the Chairman's Quartet Charity Fund.

Managed by the charity, Quartet, the Chairman’s Fund has helped a range of projects from providing transport for an elderly group so they could attend a once-a-week lunch club to kitting out a children’s football team. Now Councillor Appleyard is hoping to boost the coffers of the fund with his 'Harmony in Your Community Fundraising Appeal'.

Cllr. Appleyard said “I’m asking venues across Bath and North East Somerset if they are holding events if they would consider raising money for the Chairman’s Fund. We are hoping that organisers of events taking place between now and April 2013 will support our fundraising endeavours. The culmination of these fundraising events will be a showcase concert in April 2013 featuring some of the musicians and acts who have taken part in the fundraising events. We can organise our team of supporters to make bucket collections at the events or it would be marvellous if the event organisers felt able to donate from ticket sales. I’m also hoping to be able to pop in to as many events as possible to lend my support. I want to thank Bath born recording artist Clyve Waite who is holding the first music event at Bath restaurant Bonghy-Bo in Bath to support Harmony in Your Community this week. All monies raised at his concert are being donated to the charity. His Bath concert is also launching his new band Soul City Foundation, the concert was a sell out within two days of the tickets going on sale.

Cllr. Appleyard continued I also wish to thank local company Ralph Allen Press for designing and printing the Harmony in Your Community flyers and posters”.

The Chairman continued “My theme for my year in office is ‘People Matter’ and when better than at Christmas to encourage others to join me in trying to help others? “The marvellous thing about the Chairman’s Fund is that it is open to all generations to apply for assistance for community based projects ".
